Qualifications

• 4–9+ years of RF/microwave design experience, depending on level.
• Hands-on RF test equipment experience and lab testing.
• Experience with RF/microwave simulation tools CST, HFSS, Microwave Office, ADS.

Responsibilities

• Design RF and electronic circuits, develop schematics, and support product development.
• Develop specifications for RF power amplifiers and microwave assemblies.
• Support technical proposals and new product development initiatives.
• Perform design modifications and contribute to new RF product designs.
• Evaluate die, bonding, and interconnect layouts for design compliance.
• Execute testing and qualification activities for new designs.
• Prepare and release engineering documentation for production.
• Configure and calibrate RF test setups to evaluate gain, output power, noise figure, and VSWR.
• Support development of automated testing methods for subsystems.
• Design PA matching networks using nonlinear simulation models.
• Provide engineering support during prototype builds, production activities, and hardware testing.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot hardware and design issues.

Salary Range: $100K - $160K per Annum plus Benefits

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and qualification of RF and microwave electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RF circuit design, power amplifiers, microwave assemblies, and laboratory testing, along with the ability to collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design RF and electronic circuits, develop schematics, and support overall product development.
• Develop functional specifications for RF power amplifiers and microwave assemblies.
• Support technical proposals and new product development initiatives.
• Perform design modifications and contribute to new RF product designs.
• Evaluate semiconductor die, bonding, and interconnect layouts to ensure design compliance.
• Execute testing and qualification activities for new designs.
• Prepare and release engineering documentation for production.
• Configure and calibrate RF test setups to evaluate gain, output power, noise figure, and VSWR.
• Support the development of automated testing methods for electronic subsystems.
• Design power amplifier matching networks using appropriate nonlinear simulation models.
• Provide engineering support during prototype builds, production activities, and hardware testing.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve hardware and design issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
• Relevant engineering experience aligned with the level of the position. Candidates with approximately 4–9+ years of experience may be considered, depending on their technical background and role level.
• Strong hands-on experience in RF and microwave circuit design and assembly development.
• Experience using RF test equipment, including network analyzers, power meters, signal generators, oscilloscopes, noise figure analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Familiarity with RF and electromagnetic simulation tools such as CST, Ansys HFSS, Microwave Office, ADS, or equivalent software.
• Experience supporting engineering design reviews, product qualification, and development milestones.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause investigation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, program management, and manufacturing teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting space, satellite, or other high-reliability electronic hardware.
• Experience preparing technical proposals and supporting new business opportunities.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing, prototype builds, and production engineering.
• Familiarity with technical instructions, engineering documentation, and design release processes.
• Basic programming or test automation skills.
• Experience presenting technical information to internal or external stakeholders.
