Jobsought in Glendale, CA is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join the clinical team. The role involves dosimetric calculations, treatment planning, quality assurance, and delivering prescribed radiation therapy under the Radiation Oncologist's guidance.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT certifications (AART-T and ARRT-T), TRT, and BLS, with preferred bachelor’s or master’s degrees and 3 years of experience in radiation therapy. This full-time position offers growth and safety-focused patient care.

Formación

• Must hold ARRT in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) certification.
• Must hold ARRT Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification.
• Must hold Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification (TRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Vaccinations as a condition of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with dosimetric calculations, treatment planning, quality assurance and data input into system.
• Provides radiation in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist.
• Assists the department director in the day-to-day operations of the department.
• Serves as technical specialist on daily tasks and cases.
• Models/mentors and trains staff on technical skills.
• Delivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy by checking prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification.
• Explains procedures to patient, means of communication during treatment, and basic treatment procedure.
• Delivers prescribed daily dose to patient, observing radiation safety measures for patient and personnel.
• Prepares room and equipment for patient according to prescription or simulation regarding immobilization devices.
• Transfers patient to treatment couch, giving attention to the special needs of the patient.
• Observes patients for unusual reactions and for signs and symptoms of developing complications during treatment.
• Reports reactions and complications to supervisor and department physician.
• Maintains a variety of records, including records of daily treatment; maintains and regularly reviews patient charts to eliminate errors.
• Ensures that blood counts and special reports are properly recorded.
• Provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical ability to perform procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
