Actalent is seeking a Signal Processing Software Engineer to develop radar software for embedded systems and various platforms in Huntsville, AL. The role covers low-level signal processing to high-level tracking algorithms, test automation, and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 5–12 years of software experience, strong C++ skills, and proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Linux, DSP, and RF concepts. On-site collaboration and Agile practices are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5-12 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and signal processing software.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Linux and DSP.

Responsabilités

• Develop software implementations of radar algorithms targeting virtual machines, embedded systems, and other platforms.
• Create software interfaces with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGAs, including command-line tools and benchmarks.
• Develop unit and integration tests for both new and existing codebases.
• Enhance new functionalities using distributed message frameworks and integrate with radar user interfaces.
• Document code and produce product documentation using tools like PowerPoint and Word.
• Implement performance improvements to existing software.
• Participate in Agile development practices, including daily standups and sprint planning.
• Utilize tools such as Git, GitLab, Jira, and Doxygen for code management, issue tracking, and documentation.
• Collaborate on other projects and participate in software architecture design discussions.
