Echodyne seeks a Senior Radar Algorithms Engineer to advance the performance of its radar systems. You will design, simulate, and validate algorithms, working with antenna, electrical, software, and data teams to translate models into robust hardware-ready implementations.

The role emphasizes radar domain expertise, problem solving, and hands-on modeling and testing in a collaborative, fast-growing environment in Kirkland, WA.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of radar systems, waveform design, and system-level architecture.
• Strong background in radar signal processing for high-gain, beam-forming.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for simulation and prototyping.
• Knowledge of electromagnetics, antennas, and wave propagation.
• Experience turning problems into algorithm prototypes.
• Experience collaborating across hardware and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and prototype advanced radar signal processing and control algorithms for FMCW and pulsed systems.
• Develop MATLAB/Python simulations to test radar algorithms and performance.
• Analyze radar data to characterize performance and derive algorithmic insights.
• Collaborate with Electromagnetics, Electrical Engineering, Software, and Data teams to ensure production-ready code.
• Support bring-up and verification of next-generation radar hardware and signal chains.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and mentoring within the team.
• Document algorithm design rationale and system implications for technical teams.
