Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County (BXDA) seeks a Senior Rackets Investigator to conduct a wide range of investigations with discretion and integrity. Ideal candidates will have NYS police academy credentials or eligibility for refresher training, a valid NYS driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and medical exams.

Qualifikationen

• Valid NYS Police Officer training certificate or eligibility for Police Officer Refresher course.
• Valid NYS driver’s license; able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must pass psychological and physical exams and a background check.
• Must be qualified to carry a firearm.
• Experience in NY City criminal justice system or NY State police a plus.
• Extensive knowledge in homicides, robberies, grand larceny, financial crimes, fraud, and identity theft preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required by NY Public Officers Law 2, 3-B.

Aufgaben

• Conduct thorough investigations in a discreet manner as assigned.
• Execute search warrants and effect arrests.
• Participate in court-ordered electronic surveillance.
• Mentor and assist junior investigators.
• Maintain case management and review; provide status updates to the Chief Detective Investigator.
• Access and utilize various computer databases; liaise with other agencies and financial institutions.
• Assist investigators and A.D.As in court preparations; testify before juries.
• Use electronic and technical equipment and prepare reports.
