Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Senior Staff R&D Systems Engineer to lead development of next-generation vascular thrombectomy platforms. The role blends advanced mechanical design with high-performance digital ecosystems, guiding projects from prototyping to testing while shaping R&D strategy.

You will architect closed-loop fluid systems, model components with SolidWorks, and drive V&V testing using LabVIEW or Python, ensuring manufacturing transfer and regulatory compliance for Class II/III devices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a systems engineer for Class II/III medical devices.
• Experience with medical device prototyping, verification testing, and cross-functional product strategies.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for modeling and drawings.
• Knowledge of closed-loop fluid systems, real-time sensor feedback, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop closed-loop fluid control systems with real-time sensor feedback.
• Lead cross-functional project teams through complete product development lifecycle.
• Develop automated V&V testing infrastructure and fixtures using LabVIEW or Python.
• Oversee design transfers from development to high-volume manufacturing with rigorous design controls.
