Roquette is seeking a Senior R&D Process Engineer to join the Americas R&D Team in Geneva, IL. This hands-on role leads complex process development and optimization, collaborating with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to improve yield, quality, and cost.

The position requires 3–5+ years in process engineering or related fields, with expertise in starch, sugar, sweetener, and polyol processing. Travel and a mix of lab, pilot, and plant work are expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Master’s or PhD preferred for Senior level.
• 3–5+ years in process engineering, R&D or manufacturing support in relevant industries.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and contribute to R&D and manufacturing-support projects from problem definition to plant implementation.
• Design, execute, analyze, and document lab, pilot-plant, and plant trials with sound experimental design.
• Support process scale-up, technology transfer, and implementation to commercial manufacturing.
• Diagnose manufacturing/process issues and implement technically and economically sound solutions.
• Improve product quality, yield, throughput, energy efficiency, reliability, cost, and sustainability.
• Apply expertise in starch conversion, sugar/sweetener processing, and polyols production.
• Provide separations expertise including chromatography, ion exchange, evaporation, and drying.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and internal/external technical teams to share knowledge.
• Prepare technical reports, trial protocols, and project updates; mentor junior staff.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across projects.
