Job summary

nVent is seeking engineers to lead New Product Introduction projects through Discover, Develop and Deploy, launching on schedule. You will coordinate schedules and supervise design activities with engineers and designers while aligning with cross‑functional teams to ensure regulatory testing and timely launches.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of related experience, including 2+ years in project management or leading teams.

• 5+ years of related engineering experience including 2+ years in project management or leading teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 360 tools and Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) preferred.
• Ability to provide work direction to work teams to improve efficiency, effectiveness and collaboration.
• Approximately 10% domestic travel with potential for international travel is required.

• Direct outside activities such as regulatory or other third‑party testing; lead cross‑functional teams acting as the central point of coordination of Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply, ISC, Quality and Compliance.
• Manage a portfolio of projects to ensure projects are on‑track and raise any project roadblocks; identify, track and mitigate risks early through structured risk planning and mitigation strategies
• Track Project Portfolio KPIs and continuously improve project and product development processes to reduce product development cycle time

What You Will Experience in This Position

• Lead teams to develop and design New Product Introduction products following a stage‑gate process from Discover, through Develop and Deploy and launch in a timely manner

• Direct outside activities such as regulatory or other third‑party testing; lead cross‑functional teams acting as the central point of coordination of Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply, ISC, Quality and Compliance. This can also cover both branded platform products, and products engineered for specific customer application
• Manage a portfolio of projects to ensure projects are on‑track and raise any project roadblocks; identify, track and mitigate risks early through structured risk planning and mitigation strategies
• Track Project Portfolio KPIs and continuously improve project and product development processes to reduce product development cycle time

You Have

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required
• 5+ years of related engineering experience of which 2+ years of project management and/or leading teams experience
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office 360 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) for backlog management, progress tracking and reporting is preferred
• Ability to provide work direction to work teams to improve efficiency, effectiveness and collaboration
• Establish a team environment with open communication, identifying problems and establishing resolutions
• Promote the sharing of knowledge to strengthen technical depth of staff, ensure adaptable operational support, and enable process improvements
• Approximately 10% domestic travel with potential for international travel is required

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range

$89,300.00 - $165,800.00
