Job summary

GRN Fort Smith is seeking a senior data center engineering leader to drive innovation in thermal management, reliability, and materials science across global teams. You will guide strategy and execution for high-density cooling and data center enclosure products.

You will lead a global group of engineers and designers, shaping the technology roadmap, coordinating with customers, and translating market needs into robust product specifications and development schedules.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related engineering experience.
• 8+ years leading engineering teams.
• In-depth knowledge of cooling systems and heat transfer.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical & electronics engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making to improve customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Research new technologies to improve and design products.
• Direct global Engineers and Designers related to product design activities.
• Lead and direct our team of Subject Matter Expert R&D Engineers in disciplines such as Thermal, Reliability and Material Science.
• Grow the business vertically and support global expansion of High-Density Cooling and Data Center/Networking enclosure products.
• Collaborate with NPI Design and cross-functional teams to take market specs from design through prototype to production.
• Partner with customers and industry partnerships to advance product and technology reach.
• Translate customer needs into product specifications and coordinate development schedules.
• Direct outside activities such as regulatory testing.

Job Description

• Research new technologies to improve and design products.
• Serve as a member of the Data Solutions leadership team by helping to develop the business strategy, technology roadmap, IP and M&A activities.
• Direct global Engineers and Designers related to product design activities.
• Lead and direct our team of Subject Matter Expert R&D Engineers in disciplines such as Thermal, Reliability and Material Science.
• Responsible for growing the business vertically and providing direction for global expansion of High-Density Cooling and Data Center/Networking enclosure products.
• Apply technical expertise to specific projects.
• Collaborate with NPI Design and cross-functional teams to take market specs from design through prototype to production for both branded platforms and custom-engineered products.
• Partner with customers, engage in industry partnerships, and establish other relationships enabling us to advance our product and technology reach.
• Translate customer needs into product specifications and coordinate and maintain development schedules.
• Direct outside activities such as regulatory or other third-party testing.
• Establish test specifications and protocols in collaboration with NPI team.
• Support development and execution of product roadmaps in partnership with NPI counterparts.
• Supports critical customers and partnerships for emerging technology focus.
