Job summary

Electro Freeze/H.C. Duke LLC in East Moline, IL seeks a Senior R&D Engineer to lead new technologies and product improvements for commercial frozen treat equipment.

You will manage concept development, system architecture, prototyping, validation, and product commercialization with hands-on and leadership responsibilities. The role requires 5+ years in engineering, solidworks proficiency, and a strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanical design.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and system-level design practices.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and partners.
• Lead complex technical projects from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from concept through commercialization, including system architecture and validation.
• Lead hands-on prototyping, fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and execute engineering test plans to evaluate performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Create and approve CAD models, drawings, BOMs and documentation.
• Lead investigations and root-cause analysis of engineering challenges.
• Evaluate new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product implementation.
• Drive value engineering and design-for-manufacturability initiatives.
• Support IP development and regulatory compliance activities.
