Alamance Foods Inc. in Burlington, NC, seeks a Senior Manager – R&D & Commercialization to drive product development from concept through launch across dairy, beverage, and related categories.

You will plan formulations, process parameters, and commercialization roadmaps while coordinating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Sales to meet timelines and budgets. You will lead pilot trials, scale-up activities, and startup efforts, mentor junior staff, and ensure FDA/SQF compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline is required.
• 8–12 years in food and beverage product development and commercialization.
• Minimum 5 years commercializing products from concept to full-scale manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development and commercialization projects from concept through launch.
• Develop formulations, process parameters, product specifications, and commercialization plans.
• Manage pilot plant trials, plant validations, first production runs, and startup activities.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to ensure manufacturability and scalability.
• Lead troubleshooting related to formulation, processing, shelf life, and product performance.
• Support customer innovation initiatives and technical presentations.
• Conduct root cause investigations on consumer complaints and quality issues.
• Partner with Quality and Regulatory to ensure FDA/SQF compliance and labeling.
