Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to build high-performance systems infrastructure for quantum workloads.

You will design interfaces connecting Braket infrastructure to quantum hardware with minimal overhead and optimize critical paths for latency and throughput. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software development, experience leading architecture, and a background in device drivers, OS kernels, embedded systems, or low-latency distributed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience leading design or architecture of large systems.
• Mentor, tech lead, or lead engineer experience.

Responsibilities

• Design interfaces linking Braket infrastructure to hardware with minimal overhead.
• Build session/memory/execution control systems for quantum device interactions.
• Optimize latency and throughput between customer workloads and quantum processors.
• Collaborate on shared runtime infrastructure (brokers, scheduling, resource management).
• Follow code review and production-readiness processes for shared systems.
• Define and evolve integration specs with hardware providers.
• Contribute to the architectural evolution of Braket’s execution stack.
