Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Superconducting Technology Architect to lead the definition, development, and delivery of superconducting quantum and digital technologies. The role integrates device, process, design, test, packaging, and foundry operations while guiding internal/external R&D and serving as a senior technical authority for GF leadership and partners.

Qualifications

MS or PhD in physics or related field required.
15+ years in semiconductor tech, superconducting electronics, or quantum hardware.
Experience translating architectures into foundry processes and managing complex tech programs.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage customer commitments.

Responsibilities

Develop long-term roadmaps for superconducting qubits and SFQ logic.
Translate requirements into materials, flows, device structures and test vehicles.
Shape manufacturable qubit tech across Josephson devices, resonators, and packaging.
Lead process integration, experiments, tape-outs, and tech transfer.
Build development programs with customers, universities, and suppliers.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate status to executives.
