Job summary

D-Wave Quantum is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to design and deliver quantum optimization solutions for customer applications. You will work with delivery leads, applications developers, and other architects within professional services to map business problems to D-Wave's hybrid solvers and advanced quantum systems, and to build production-ready applications.

You will lead requirements gathering, model use cases mathematically, and collaborate with internal teams to prioritize features

Qualifications

• Masters, PhD, or equivalent in Operations Research, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of Python experience; knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn,.Networkx is a bonus.
• Experience with external customers (consulting ideal) to map problems to optimization solutions.
• Experience with leading optimization tools and techniques (Gurobi, CPLEX, genetic algorithms, simulated annealing).
• Ability to obtain Top Secret or higher clearance preferred.
• Strong mathematical modeling and optimization skills; production application development.
• Git or similar version control experience.
• Proven track record of on-time project delivery; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build customer applications on the D-Wave quantum computer and internal tools.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects to achieve business value for customers.
• Communicate capabilities with customers and ask probing questions to understand the problem and propose solutions.
• Gather requirements on customer use cases, lead brainstorming sessions, and design solutions.
• Model use cases mathematically and design quantum hybrid applications.
• Build and maintain relationships with leaders across groups within D-Wave.
• Share insights with tools and product teams and help prioritize features.
• Organize and present technical information clearly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative environment.
