FTS International, LLC is seeking a Communications Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support IC and DoW customers with analysis, engineering, design, and operations for advanced optical and quantum communication systems.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a BS in a STEM field, and 12+ years in relevant experience (4+ years in optical/quantum systems). Strong collaboration and documentation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• BS STEM in engineering discipline required.
• 12+ years in relevant fields with at least 4 years in optical/quantum comms.
• Experience with USG program management and lifecycle documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support development of next-generation national security systems across land, sea, air, and space domains.
• Provide SETA support to IC R&D customers for optical and quantum communications systems.
• Perform technical reviews, risk evaluations, and assessments of optical/quantum systems.
