Job summary
Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Communications Systems Engineer to support IC and DoW customers with optical and quantum communications. The role encompasses SETA support, system engineering, and technical advisory across land, sea, air, and space domains.
Ideal candidates hold TS/SCI+Poly clearance, engineering/physics degrees with extensive experience, and strong writing and collaboration skills to develop roadmaps, analyses, and briefings in Chantilly, VA.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship with TS/SCI + Poly clearance at date of application.
- Engineering/physics or related degree with seniority requirements.
- Experience with USG program management and lifecycle processes.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to report to Chantilly, VA on site as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed reviews and risk evaluations of optical and quantum systems.
- Evaluate designs: optical terminals, free-space links, photonic components.
- Assess gaps in high-bandwidth space links and quantum-enabled transport.
- Support roadmaps, requirements, specs, verification, and transition plans.
- Prepare analyses and briefings for programmatic and acquisition activities.
