Amazon Braket is evolving to support fault-tolerant quantum computing. We seek a Senior Software Development Engineer to build high-performance systems infrastructure for quantum workloads, focusing on latency budgets, resource lifecycle, and accessible software abstractions.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming in at least one language.
5+ years leading design or architecture of systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Design interfaces connecting Braket to quantum hardware with minimal overhead.
Build session, memory, and execution control systems for quantum device interactions.
Optimize the critical path between customer workloads and quantum processors for low latency and high throughput.
Collaborate with Workload Execution on shared runtime infrastructure (brokers, scheduling, resource management).
Follow Braket’s code review and production-readiness processes when contributing to shared systems.
Work with quantum hardware providers to define and evolve integration specs.
Contribute to architectural evolution of Braket’s execution stack for fault-tolerant workloads.
