Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Quantum Error Correction Research Scientist for Quantum Computing Applied Research to advance fault-tolerant quantum computing and hardware/software integration. You’ll lead technical pathfinding, develop decoding techniques, and work with multi-functional teams across product, engineering and research.

Required is a Master’s in a relevant field with 6+ years in quantum computing, and hands-on experience in quantum error correction, CUDA, and high-performance computing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Quantum Computing industry.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high impact value in quantum error correction and decoding.

Responsibilities

• Path-find technical innovations in Quantum Error Correction and Fault Tolerance with cross-functional teams.
• Develop novel decoding approaches for quantum error correction codes and their logical operations.
• Research and co-design improved methods to achieve more scalable decoders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enable a fault-tolerant software stack integrated with quantum hardware.
• Promote collaboration, rapid innovation, technical depth, and creative problem-solving.
