Job summary

QuEra Computing Inc. in Boston is seeking a Senior Quantum Engineer to join the Quantum Computing Services team.

You will work on integrating hardware and software, drive QPU development toward a commercial product, and help launch and operate an internal/external quantum computing service with the system at its core. In early phases you’ll ensure system integration across subsystems, collaborate with internal and external teams, and translate user needs into the machine’s roadmap while building

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in experimental AMO physics or related field with 6+ years hands-on experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working with customers/end users to translate needs into features.
• Software skills with programming languages and understanding of software architectures.
• Familiarity with quantum error correction is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI workflows for automation is a plus.
• Success in research evidenced by publications or talks.
• Willingness to provide on-call support for machine/ service operations.
• Excitement to grow into ownership of a flagship quantum system.
