Job summary

JP Morgan Chase in New York seeks an Associate/VP within Quantitative Trading & Research (QTR) to tackle technically complex business problems using ML, data analytics, and AI capabilities across Securities Services, Payments and CIB Treasury.

You will partner with business leads, develop scalable data architectures, and deliver end-to-end projects from prototyping to production while communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in a quantitative field such as Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and mathematics; able to apply concepts to real problems.
• Experience tackling real-world data science problems end-to-end using Python and related tools.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated curiosity, collaboration, and drive to deliver tangible results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leads to develop AI/ML analytics and automation aligned with business goals.
• Build scalable data architectures to handle large volumes of transaction data.
• Automate processes and develop tools to optimize decision-making and operations.
• Develop sequential decision-making tools to optimize net interest income under liquidity and balance sheet constraints.
• Lead projects end-to-end from brainstorming and prototyping to data processing, analysis, and model development.
• Present commercial recommendations to stakeholders and communicate insights effectively.
• Coordinate with Quantitative Research, CIB Treasury, CIO, and CDAO to advance data strategy.
