Job summary

Verana Health in the United States is seeking a Senior Quantitative Scientist, Implementation, to advance scalable analytics on real-world healthcare data and drive commercial impact for life sciences projects.

You will lead end-to-end analytic workflows, collaborate across Commercial, Product, Medical and Engineering teams, and set best practices for reproducible research in a fast-paced, remote-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of healthcare data analysis with EHR and outcomes.
• Strong coding in R, Python; experience with Apache Spark.
• Ability to lead analytic projects and communicate results clearly.
• Experience supporting life sciences or biotech analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on development and implementation of robust, scalable analytic workflows using real-world, messy healthcare data.
• Design, code, and execute high-quality analyses that power real-world evidence for commercial life science projects.
• Serve as the technical authority establishing best practices in code review, version control, and reproducibility (GitHub, analytic workflows, documentation).
• Act as a technical advisor, framing the business impact of investments in scalable processes and infrastructure.
• Drive and execute commercial retrospective studies using electronic health records (EHR) data, including statistical analysis planning and algorithm development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally (Commercial, Product, Medical, Engineering) to translate clinical questions into actionable analytic approaches.
• Present and communicate findings to internal and external partners, supporting decision-making and innovation.
• Contribute to a culture of learning and scientific rigor, continuously improving methodological standards.
