Job summary

Old Mission Capital, a global quantitative trading firm, seeks a Quantitative Researcher in NYC to work with traders and research infrastructure. You will develop alpha signals, analyze large data sets, and contribute to portfolio construction while collaborating to optimize strategies and assess risk.

The role requires an advanced quantitative degree, expertise in statistical methods, and 3+ years in equity trading, with proficiency in major programming languages.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or physics).
• Deep technical understanding of advanced statistical techniques.
• 3+ years of relevant equity trading experience.
• Expertise building statistical models for equity forecasts with production deployment experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: C++, Python, R, Matlab, Ruby, Java.
• Experience leading a team of researchers in industry or academia.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
