Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Test Inspection 3 to support the Quality & Mission Assurance function at our Elkton, Maryland site. The role leads a team across receiving, in-process inspection, and calibration to ensure conformance to quality requirements.

The position requires 8+ years of managerial/quality experience in manufacturing, knowledge of GD&T/AS9100, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Eight years of managerial and quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to effectively lead a diverse group of workers across multiple shifts while exemplifying Northrop Grumman Leadership Behaviors and values.
• Knowledge and application of GD&T, AS9102, AS9100 and RCCA
• Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to acquire a security clearance which requires U.S.A. citizenship

Responsibilities

• Fosters a culture of quality and safety performance
• Provide daily operations guidance to a team of managers and individual contributors supporting receiving inspection, in process inspection, and calibration
• Ensure the inspection tools, equipment, and process control documents adhere to quality requirements.
• Works with cross functional management to prioritize manufacturing and product testing.
• Able to identify and resolve quality related issues expeditiously and proficiently.
• Develop and execute strategic and tactical objectives
• Drive culture change toward more proactive risk mitigation, data driven decision making, and continuous improvement.
• Support Return to Green, Failure Analysis, and Corrective Action activities with focus on full resolution and future risk mitigation.
