Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Senior Quality Technician to perform inspections, collect data, and collaborate with Engineering and suppliers to resolve issues in an AS9100 environment.

You will program inspections using PC DMIS, interpret GD&T, and help maintain the QMS while ensuring data integrity for customer packets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a quality role in manufacturing/inspection.
• Experience in AS9100 or similar quality systems.
• Experience writing programs and running CMM.
• Experience developing quality procedures and work instructions.
• Proficient in GD&T read/write/interpretation.
• Drawing interpretation background.
• Experience with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and suppliers.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and mechanical inspections using measurement equipment.
• Measure components and compare to GD&T and specs.
• Create, develop, and implement inspection processes per customer specs.
• Create and run part measurement programs using PC DMIS.
• Collaborate with Quality & Manufacturing Engineering to resolve issues.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining the QMS (calibration records, KPI tracking, document control).
• Create inspection documentation and verify data for customer data packets or CoC.
• Identify and record non-conformances using various software.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Use CAD models for programming inspections.

Job description

Role Overview

The Senior Quality Technician’s function is to perform various inspection duties, create and collect inspection data, work closely with Engineering and suppliers to resolve issues, andmaintaindocument controlin accordance withAS9100 and ITAR requirements.

What You’ll Do…

• Perform visual and mechanical inspections using measurement and test equipment that includes, but is not limitedto:pin gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gage, profilometer, optical comparator, CMM, and GOM scanner

• Measure components and compare results to Engineering drawings thatcontainGD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and industry standard specification controls

• Create, develop, and implement inspection processes based on customer specifications

• Create and run part measurement programs using PC DMIS

• Collaborate with Quality & Manufacturing Engineering to resolve any issues found during product realization

• Assistwith creating andmaintainingthe Quality Management System (QMS) such as calibration records, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, and document control

• Create inspection documentation and collect and verify all data for customer data packet or CoC packet

• Identifyand record non-conformances using various software

• Assistwith root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Using CAD models for programming inspection

You have…

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a quality position

• Experience working in an AS9100 (or similar standard) manufacturing and inspection environment

• Experience writing programs and running CMM

• Experience in developing and implementing quality procedures and work instructions

• Proficient with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) read,writeand interpret

• Drawing interpretation background

• Experience working with various measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

• Formal written and verbal communication with internal and external parties (customers and suppliers) as well as performing inter-company and external presentations

• Proficient in Word,PowerPointand Excel

• The ability to obtain andmaintaina U.S. government issued security clearance isrequired. U.S.Citizens isrequired, as only U.S.Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
