Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking the Central Quality Process Senior Manager to shape and advance the Quality Management System across manufacturing operations in Louisville, KY. You will coach cross-functional teams, drive QMS digitization, support NPI, and ensure ISO standards compliance to reduce Cost of Quality.

The role requires leading plant QMS changes, CAPA, MCP development, and audits, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years’ experience in quality engineering roles of increasing responsibility.
Current ISO 9001 auditor certification internal or upon hire, must obtain Lead auditor certification for ISO 9001

Responsibilities

Lead digitization of the QMS in the sites, to include audit web, and EOLA.
Ensure sites are containing plant quality issues, and efforts are in place to protect defects from reaching consumers.
Ensure plant personnel are reviewing QSPs and clarifying QSP intent and content.
Identify gaps to QSP requirements and help define plan to address the gaps.
Coach cross-functional teams on the creation of QMS documentation that is compliant with the QSPs.
Utilize lessons-learned from internal/external failures to drive systemic improvements.
Provide support to plant personnel and NPI teams to implement and execute upon the Quality Management System (QMS).
Facilitate, coach and teach the 9-Step Process to cross-functional plant teams as required.
Teach, coach, and support QMS 101 Course to all required plant personnel.
Contribute to CAPA/CAR, MCP development, and gauging calibration methodologies.
Travel to manufacturing locations including Mabe manufacturing sites as needed for coaching and audits.
Lead/manage all-plant QMS meetings to deliver QMS changes needed to support business objectives.
