The Recruiting Hive in Bristol, CT is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality department for a precision manufacturing operation. This role maintains an AS9100-certified QMS and ensures machined components meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.

You will supervise a small QA team, drive first article and in-process inspections, read complex drawings, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing leadership on root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Competenze

• 15+ years of progressive experience in quality or inspection for precision-machined parts
• 10+ years in AS9100-certified Quality Management System (QMS)
• Experience leading a quality department and supervising staff
• Hands-on in first article, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Strong AS9100 knowledge, internal auditing, and external audit preparation
• Advanced ability to read complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications

• Lead the quality department and manage ~2–3 QA staff
• Maintain, administer, and improve AS9100 QMS
• Supervise FAI, FP, in-process, and final inspections
• Coordinate internal and external quality audits
