6 Degrees Search seeks a seasoned Quality Manager to lead the Quality department for a precision manufacturing operation in Bristol, CT. You will maintain an AS9100-certified QMS and ensure parts meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on inspection oversight, including first article/piece, in-process, and final checks. You will mentor staff and drive continuous improvement in gauging and process capability.

Formación

• Minimum 15 years of progressive quality/inspection experience in precision-machined parts.
• 10+ years within an AS9100 environment and leading a quality department.
• Hands-on in first article/piece, in-process and final inspections.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Quality department and manage 2–3 QA/inspection staff.
• Maintain and improve the AS9100 QMS.
• Perform and supervise inspections to ensure customer/spec compliance.
• Program, operate, and maintain CMM and vision-inspection systems.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support corrective actions.
