Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager to support major capital projects in the SPS region. This onsite role is based in Amarillo, TX, reporting to the hiring manager overseeing quality for major capital projects within the SPS region.

You will focus on quality assurance and compliance for large-scale construction, renewable energy, and power generation projects valued at $100M+.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project management, quality assurance, or related fields.
• Experience with large capital projects, $100M+.
• Experience in industrial construction, power generation, or renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Manage QA activities for major capital projects exceeding $100M.
• Monitor compliance with project quality standards and requirements.
• Coordinate vendor surveillance, shop audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
• Support quality oversight across renewable energy, power plant, and industrial construction projects.
• Identify potential quality concerns and guide resolution with project teams and vendors.
• Be the subject matter expert for project quality and provide guidance to team members.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and collaboration tools to manage documentation and communication.

About the role:

Amarillo, TX

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Manager to support major capital projects throughout the SPS region. This is an onsite position based in Amarillo, TX, and the Senior Quality Manager will report directly to the hiring manager overseeing major capital project quality projects within the SPS region.

You will focus on quality assurance and compliance for large-scale construction, renewable energy, and power generation projects, including projects valued at $100M+.

You will bring a background in project management, construction quality, vendor oversight, and major capital projects. You will be the quality subject matter expert and champion, working across project teams, contractors, vendors, and important partners to ensure quality requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage quality assurance activities for major capital projects exceeding $100M.
• Monitor compliance with established project quality standards, specifications, and requirements.
• Coordinate vendor surveillance, shop audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
• Support quality oversight across renewable energy, power plant, and industrial construction projects.
• Identify potential quality concerns and work with project teams, contractors, and vendors to guide resolution.
• Be the subject matter expert for project quality, providing guidance and recommendations to project team members.
• Use Microsoft Office and remote collaboration tools to manage project documentation and communication.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in project management, quality assurance, quality management, construction, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience supporting large capital projects; projects valued at $100M or more.
• Experience with industrial construction, power generation, renewable energy, or utility projects.
• Experience conducting or supporting vendor surveillance, vendor quality reviews, and shop audits.
