Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions seeks an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality department for a precision machining operation in Bristol, Connecticut. You will maintain an AS9100-certified QMS while ensuring machined components meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements, and you will join the senior leadership team.

Qualifications

• 15 years of progressive experience in quality/inspection for precision-machined parts.
• 10 years in AS9100-certified QMS.
• Experience leading a Quality department and supervising staff.
• Hands-on in first article, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 requirements, internal auditing, and external audits.
• Advanced ability to read complex drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Experience with SPC, process capability, lean manufacturing, and problem solving.
• Ability to train and coach operators on blueprint reading and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality department and manage approximately two to three QA staff.
• Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team.
• Maintain and continuously improve the AS9100 QMS.
• Ensure quality procedures are implemented throughout the organization.
• Supervise and perform first article, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Prepare and review First Article Inspection and Production Process Submission documentation.
• Ensure parts meet customer specifications and are released after final inspections.
• Program, operate, and maintain CMM and vision-inspection systems.
• Interpret complex drawings and GD&T; train operators and inspectors.
• Coordinate audits and communicate with customers on quality concerns.
• Drive corrective actions, MRB processes, and continuous-improvement activities.
