Job summary

Atlas Tube in Birmingham, Alabama, part of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead the Quality Department and partner with operations to ensure products meet customer and industry standards.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will support quality personnel, maintain quality systems, oversee inspections, drive continuous improvement, and serve as a technical resource for internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
Minimum 5 years in a Quality role with supervisory responsibilities.
Manufacturing experience, preferably steel, pipe, or tube industry.

Responsibilities

Lead the Quality team under the supervision of the Quality Manager.
Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operating.
Provide backup for inline non-destructive testing (NDT) operations.
Flex across shifts with primary responsibility on day shift.
Review and disposition nonconforming material and coordinate rework.
Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System.
Serve as liaison with customers regarding product quality issues and technical information.
Partner with Sales to provide technical product support and quality guidance.
