Job summary

Zekelman Industries seeks a Quality Supervisor for Wheatland Tube Blytheville, AR Plant. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role directs the Quality Department, provides technical support, and represents the company on external quality matters, defining steel grade requirements with suppliers.

The role covers leadership of the Quality Group, coordination of lab operations, calibration, NDT support, and liaison with customers and sales to ensure conformance and timely quality communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Quality in a supervisor or higher role.
• Ability to review and understand product specifications and standards.
• Experience with Quality System (ISO 9001), NDE inspection and API product (preferred).
• Must follow written and verbal instructions; strong computer skills.
• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, dependability, professionalism and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Group in support of the Quality Manager.
• Cover vacation for site Quality Manager and Quality Leads.
• Ensure lab and equipment are in good condition and calibration is performed.
• Backup and support inline NDT.
• Flex to all shifts as required; primary days.
• Ensure inspections are completed as required.
• Review and disposition nonconforming material and schedule rework.
• Assist in maintaining the quality management system.
• Liaise with customers over quality issues and product information.
• Liaise with sales regarding product information.
• Provide training to quality staff as needed.
• Assist shipping in inspection as needed.
• Travel as required.
• Lead health and safety practices per regulations and policy.
