Modern Machining Solutions Inc. seeks an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality department in a precision machining operation in Bristol, CT.

The role ensures AS9100 QMS compliance and that machined parts meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. The candidate will lead a small QA team, oversee inspections, and actively participate in first article, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections, while applying GD&T and CMM expertise to maintain quality and drive continuous

Competenze

• 15+ years of progressive experience in quality, inspection, or related roles involving precision-machined parts and components.
• At least 10 years of quality experience within an AS9100-certified Quality Management System.
• Experience leading a Quality department and supervising quality or inspection employees.
• Hands-on experience performing first article, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Strong working knowledge of AS9100 requirements, internal auditing, and external audit preparation.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Knowledge of statistical process control, process capability studies, and lean manufacturing principles.

Mansioni

• Lead the Quality department and manage approximately two to three inspection and quality-assurance employees.
• Maintain, administer, and continuously improve the AS9100-certified Quality Management System.
• Supervise and perform first article, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Program, operate, and maintain CMM and vision-inspection systems.
• Coordinate customer, registrar, and external quality audits.
• Drive continuous-improvement using SPC, process capability, and lean practices.
