Job summary

The Walsh Group, a fourth-generation family-owned construction firm, seeks a Senior Quality Manager for our Winthrop, MA project portfolio. This role leads the quality management system, ensures design and construction meet policies and contract requirements, and drives continuous improvement.

You will coach project staff, manage KPIs, coordinate inspections, and partner with owners, subcontractors and safety teams to deliver safe, quality, on-schedule work with strong profitability.

Qualifications

• AEC-related bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant certifications.
• Experience leading QA/QC on large projects; 10+ years in AEC with 5+ years in QA/QC leadership.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and time management.
• Travel limited to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for projects; manage quality of works, materials, documentation.
• Coach and mentor project staff in quality management.
• Lead quality processes: work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, QIRs, lessons learned.
• Establish and report KPIs and QIRs; analyze trends and suggest improvements.
• Audit project quality programs and provide feedback.
• Direct inspection, testing and documentation; schedule with operations and client.
• Create project-specific inspection/test plans and quality control plans.
• Support risk management strategy to improve profitability.
• Maintain relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, stakeholders.
• Support Site Safety to ensure safety procedures.
• Monitor quality costs and rework costs; assist with budgeting.
