Position Summary

We are seeking a strategically minded Senior Quality & Test Governance Lead to shape and strengthen testing discipline, execution readiness, and quality governance across the Data Supply Chain organization. This role is responsible for creating the structure, visibility, and operating rigor needed to support complex delivery portfolios that span multiple projects, applications, environments, and dependent teams. The successful candidate will serve as a senior coordination and governance leader across cross-functional initiatives, partnering with project managers, technology leads, testers, data teams, and downstream stakeholders to improve quality outcomes, increase readiness transparency, and enable more informed delivery decisions. This role is ideal for someone who can operate beyond day-to-day test administration and instead help build a more mature testing and quality operating model- one that improves traceability, strengthens governance, reduces execution risk, and supports reliable delivery across an increasingly integrated enterprise data landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the testing governance approach across multiple projects, releases, environments, and impacted delivery teams within the Data Supply Chain portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain visibility into testing scope, readiness, dependencies, environment constraints, downstream impacts, and unresolved delivery risks.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to ensure test coverage aligns to requirements, integration points, operational scenarios, and enterprise delivery objectives.
  • Provide structure and discipline around defect governance, triage, retesting, issue escalation, and closure management.
  • Deliver clear, fact-based reporting on execution progress, blockers, readiness indicators, quality risk, and decision points for project and leadership audiences.
  • Identify systemic gaps in planning, ownership, traceability, coverage, or environment management and drive practical improvement actions.
  • Help define and strengthen repeatable testing processes, governance standards, dashboards, control points, and operating routines across the organization.
  • Influence teams to improve accountability, coordination, and quality discipline throughout the full testing lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong control of testing artifacts, execution status, defect tracking, and follow-up actions in Jira or similar tools.
  • Contribute to the long-term maturation of the organization’s quality practices through process optimization, reporting enhancement, and practical automation enablement.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or related roles.
  • Experience in test coordination, test lead, quality assurance, technology delivery, or project execution roles.
  • Strong understanding of test planning, test case management, test execution, defect tracking, retesting, and completion reporting.
  • Experience working with Jira or similar agile/project tracking tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing cycles, priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders at the same time.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and incomplete coverage.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to summarize testing status, issues, and risks clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, organize complex information, and drive follow-up without constant direction.
  • Comfort working with technical teams, project managers, application owners, testers, and downstream consumers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate status reporting.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and think beyond the obvious test scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise data, data integration, batch processing, interface testing, or downstream data consumption.
  • Experience coordinating testing across multiple applications, TLAs, workstreams, or environments.
  • Familiarity with test dashboards, reporting metrics, execution tracking, and defect aging reports.
  • Experience with QV or similar non-production testing environments.
  • Experience supporting integration testing, regression testing, release testing, or production readiness validation.
  • Experience documenting testing strategies, operating models, process flows, or governance routines.
  • Familiarity with automation opportunities related to test execution, reporting, or evidence capture.
  • Ability to understand data movement, upstream/downstream dependencies, job execution, and operational impacts.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means elevating testing from a coordination activity to a disciplined quality and readiness function that improves delivery confidence across the Data Supply Chain organization. You will be successful if you can consistently deliver the following outcomes:

  • A reliable testing governance rhythm across projects, cycles, environments, and impacted teams.
  • Clear visibility into testing readiness, execution status, open risks, and downstream implications.
  • Stronger alignment between project scope, test coverage, defect management, and release decision-making.
  • Early identification and resolution of gaps related to planning, ownership, environments, dependencies, and business readiness.
  • Consistent, credible reporting that supports project managers, technology leads, and leadership decision-making.
  • Improved traceability and accountability across test artifacts, execution progress, and defect follow-up.
  • A more mature testing operating model with clearer standards, roles, governance expectations, and improvement priorities.
  • Practical recommendations that strengthen quality, reduce delivery risk, and improve repeatability over time.
