Job summary

Mullins Mechanical is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our Canton, MS team. You will review weld maps, inspect workmanship, and document results to ensure compliance with project drawings, codes, and client requirements while supporting safe, efficient operations on site.

Candidates must hold AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, or API 510/570, have 4+ years in quality inspection, be proficient with Excel, Word, and Procore, and be willing to travel or relocate as needed.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of professional experience as Quality Inspector or Technician.
• Current AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, or API 510/570 certifications.
• Extensive knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).
• Understanding of ASTM standards and materials.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and construction PM software (Procore preferred).
• Ability to travel/relocate as needed.
• Experience reading and understanding drawings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR background.

Responsibilities

• Create, interpret, and understand Weld Map Isometric drawings using computer software programs
• Enter welding and inspection information into the tracking tool
• Assist with pressure testing plans and functions
• Assemble project documentation packages
• Perform and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance
• Test welders and perform weld inspections under various codes
• Follow Project Quality Assurance Plans
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Assist Site Quality Manager with various daily activities as assigned
• Maintain commitment to Mullins core values and safety policies
