Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation in Hauppauge, NY seeks a Senior Inspector in Process to perform advanced inspections on high-voltage assemblies, read drawings, and verify conformance to specifications. You will lead FAIs and document results per AS9102, while mentoring junior inspectors.

The role requires 5 years of inspection experience, IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 certifications, and proficiency with inspection tools.

Qualifications

5 years of inspection experience.
Familiarity with advanced inspection tools.
Advanced understanding of schematics, wiring practices, insulation systems, and clearance/creepage requirements.
Required IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 certifications.
Preferred ASQ CQI or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced inspections using measurement tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
Read drawings and instructions to understand quality expectations.
Verify in-process and final conformance on high-voltage assemblies.
Lead First Article Inspections (FAIs) and document results per AS9102.
Document nonconformities and prepare inspection reports.
Provide technical support to other inspectors and mentor junior staff.
Support calibration and equipment verification and maintain records per ISO 9001/AS9100.
