Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Carson, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform final inspections and procure samples for dimensional inspection of aerospace parts.

You will measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision gauges to ensure conformance to customer drawings and specifications. The role requires reading blueprints, preparing dimensional inspection reports, and supporting non-conformance documentation.

Qualifications

• Three years related quality experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Inspect product after final processing and procure samples for dimensional inspection.
• Review drawings and measure parts with micrometers, calipers and other gauges.
• Prepare quality documentation including inspection reports and logbooks.
• Create non-conformance reports and support recall of gages and tools.
