Job summary

Comark seeks a Senior Quality Inspector to join our Lowell, MA facility, reporting to the Quality and Compliance Manager. This non-exempt role performs incoming-material inspections, final product checks, and calibration-record maintenance, ensuring compliance with IPC standards and customer requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of quality inspection experience, IPC/J-Std-001 knowledge or willingness to certify, and ERP system proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• IPC 610 and J-Std-001 certification or willingness to certify within first year.
• Proficient with inspection measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, pin gages, thread gages, height gauges, vision system).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• First Article Inspection experience (Net-Inspect a plus).
• Strong math skills related to inspection.
• 3-5 years of quality inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials per acceptance criteria (molded parts, sheet metal, PCB, machined parts, electrical components).
• Coordinate collection of supplier documentation (Certificates of Conformance, flow-down evidence).
• Maintain records to ensure calibration process compliance.
• Conduct final inspections on finished products.
• Maintain the non-conforming material process.
• Support calibration of measuring/testing devices.
• Audit ESD equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming materials per acceptance criteria requirements such as injected molded parts, sheet metal, PCB, intricate machined parts and electrical components.
• Coordinate collection of supplier documentation such as: Certificates of Conformance, flow down requirement evidence.
• Facilitate and maintain the necessary records to ensure compliance to the calibration process.
• Conduct final inspections on finished products.
• Maintain the non-conforming material process.
• Support process for calibration of measuring and testing devices
• Audits of ESD equipment
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be certified to or have good working knowledge of IPC standard 610 and J-Std-001 or be willing to complete certification within first year of employment.
• Must be knowledgeable and exhibit proficiency in the use of mechanical inspection measuring tools such as but not limited to micrometers, verniers, pin gages, thread gages and height gages, vision system.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience with electronic ERP system usage.
• Experience in First Article Inspection (Net-Inspect experience a plus)
• Be proficient in mathematics as it relates to the inspection function.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• 3-5 years experience
