Job summary

Beckwood Press Company in Fenton, Missouri is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to ensure that manufactured products meet stringent quality standards. You will inspect, test, and evaluate components at various production stages and document findings in accordance with company procedures.

Responsibilities include performing in-process inspections, interpreting drawings with GD&T, reporting NCRs, and collaborating with Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T principles.
• Proficient with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• FaroArm or CMM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and in-process inspections of machined and fabricated components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and inspection criteria to ensure conformance.
• Document inspection results and maintain records per procedures.
• Report non-conforming parts (NCR) and support disposition.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing on quality initiatives and corrective actions.
• Load/unload materials and maintain a safe, clean work area.

Beckwood, headquartered in Fenton, Missouri, is one of the world`s leading manufacturers of custom hydraulic presses and automation equipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Quality Inspector to join our team. The Senior Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet the company\'s quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting, testing, and evaluating products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. The Senior Quality Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing process and delivering high-quality products to customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and in-process inspections of machined and fabricated components using tools such as micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, and thread gauges.
• Utilize FaroArm and other tools to complete necessary measurements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection criteria.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records per company procedures.
• Document and report all non-conforming parts (NCR).
• Collaborate with Procurement to support supplier quality initiatives and implement a vendor inspection program.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to investigate root cause issues and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings following GD&T principles.
• Maintain open lines of communication with the production team to prioritize critical components.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong inspection, testing, and documentation skills.
• Experience with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, thread gauges) and FaroArm or similar CMM equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T principles.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing).
