Join a team at the forefront of aerospace innovation. As the Senior Quality Inspection Supervisor, you will lead a team of union bargain members for the Electric Power Systems Business Unit. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure that quality inspection processes support safe, compliant, and efficient operations that directly impact the success of our customers and the future of flight.
Lead and Empower the Team – Supervise, coach, and develop a team of inspection specialists and technicians to achieve high performance and professional growth.
Organize and Optimize Workloads – Plan inspection activities, balance daily assignments, and oversee receiving inspection to meet business objectives.
Ensure Operational Continuity – Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and keep production on track.
Drive Continuous Improvement – Apply Zero Defect Planning (ZDP) methodology, data-driven insights, and CORE Operating System principles to advance inspection processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
Contain and Correct Issues – Lead containment efforts when quality issues arise and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Advance Business Objectives – Take on additional projects defined by the Business Unit Leadership team to further organizational goals.
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Prior quality supervisory experience, ideally with bargaining unit employees.
Experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, or related fields.
Aerospace or highly regulated industry background.
Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges), and familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
Hands-on experience applying Continuous Improvement / Lean tools, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing to streamline processes.
