Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior Quality Engineering Software Engineer to establish a new testing approach for a production cyber software platform. You will own testing strategy, framework, and tooling used by engineers to validate critical behavior and diagnose failures.

You'll design a maintainable testing framework, build Python tooling, and integrate checks into CI/CD, enabling fast feedback and scalable validation across services and data workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining Python tooling, automation, or backend services.
• 2+ years of designing or building automated test frameworks or test infrastructure and integrating automated checks into CI/CD workflows.
• 2+ years of testing and debugging software across services, APIs, databases, data workflows, or production systems, including using Docker or reproducible environments.

Responsibilities

• Define a testing strategy around important product behavior and impact of failures, selecting where unit, integration, and end-to-end tests provide the most meaningful evidence.
• Design and build a maintainable testing framework and reusable Python tooling for engineering use.
• Integrate automated checks into CI/CD workflows to provide fast feedback for daily development.
• Create representative test data and reproducible test environments to diagnose failures.
• Report what was validated, what failed, and gaps to give engineers a clear view of product quality.
• Establish testing patterns that can be extended via code reviews and documentation.
