Job summary
Wabtec Corporation in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Quality Engineer IV to serve as a senior technical resource for quality systems and manufacturing process improvement across bus transit technologies. You will lead initiatives to improve product quality, customer confidence, and cost of quality.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field; equivalent quality/manufacturing experience accepted.
- 8+ years in quality roles within industrial manufacturing; customer-facing quality experience preferred.
- Automotive experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex customer complaints, containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and executive updates.
- Drive systemic quality improvements using 8D, DMAIC, FMEA/PFMEA, DOE, SPC, MSA and analytics.
- Support NPI from cradle to grave including quality planning, validation, launch, and post-launch monitoring.
- Mentor engineers, coach cross-functional teams, and oversee technical quality decisions.
- Support supplier, field, warranty, rework, and FMI-related issue resolution.
