Job summary

FM Industries in Livermore, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer 3 to drive quality goals and proactively meet customer expectations for quality. You will be the primary customer-facing quality contact for the business unit, manage audits, inspections, first article reporting, non-conforming product, and supplier quality.

Qualifications include a BS in Engineering or Quality or 5 years related experience; ability to distill analyses into action and to read manufacturing drawings.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Quality or 5 years related experience.
• Ability to distill technical analyses into meaningful actions for continuous improvement.
• Ability to write process descriptions, assembly, and manufacturing instructions.
• Read and interpret manufacturing drawings (Blueprints).

Responsibilities

• Drive the execution of quality goals and meet internal and external customer expectations.
• Primary customer-facing quality contact for the business unit on delivery quality and related processes.
• Manage audits, inspections, quality engineering, first article reporting, non-conforming product and supplier quality.
• Evaluate and enhance quality standards, technologies and approaches.
• Advocate for quality in New Product Development processes.
• Represent the company in conversations with customers and partners.
• Synthesize quality performance data for executive leadership.
• Drive improvements to COPQ, QPPM, Supplier Quality QPPM and DMR/RMA rates.
