Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead Lean and Six Sigma based process improvements in a high-tech manufacturing environment. You will analyze operations, drive root cause countermeasures, and mentor teams across management, engineering, and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include leading Kaizen events, developing VSM roadmaps, conducting capability studies, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems compliance.
• Demonstrated history of leading Kaizen events that eliminated waste and improved flow.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and addresses improvement opportunities and develop root cause countermeasures.
• Leads and facilitates process improvement workshops and projects to drive business results.
• Mentors and develops potential lean practitioners through projects driving change.
• Develops and drives Value Stream Mapping and continuous improvement roadmaps.
• Ensures lean activities align with goals, metrics, and business strategy.
• Provides leadership on Lean and Six Sigma principles and tools.
• Plans and leads employee development training in Lean and Six Sigma.
• Performs CmK and GR&R studies using appropriate statistical software.
• Supports AS9100/ISO 9001 audits and performance metrics.
• Assists with other QA duties as assigned.
