Job summary

Vollrath is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to quality systems and regulatory requirements. You will lead quality initiatives, internal and external audits, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver robust processes on the manufacturing floor.

The role requires expertise in SPC, FMEA, APQP/PPAP, CAPA, and DFQ reviews, plus mentoring of junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in a Quality Engineering role.
• Proficiency in RCA, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans.
• APQP/PPAP and FAI experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (Green/Black Belt desirable).
• Auditing experience and standards knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems.
• Lead DFx reviews and quality plans.
• Conduct internal and external audits.
• Support management reviews of the quality system.
• Lead CAPA and root cause analysis for non-conformances.
• Utilize SPC and capability studies to monitor process performance.
• Oversee FAI and PPAP activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality at all stages.
• Mentor junior quality engineers.
• Prepare quality reports and maintain records.
