Watts Water Technologies is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the on-site Quality and Operations Team in Export, PA. The role focuses on incoming and in-process inspections, maintaining logs, and providing calibration data to uphold product quality.

Responsibilities include developing inspection methods, performing measurements with micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and other equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and engineering.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret part/assembly drawings.
  • Familiarity with inspection equipment: micrometers, calipers, CMM, microscope, height gauges.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of safety practices, policies, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate incoming inspections and in-process monitoring for parts/components.
  • Maintain inspection logs and documentation; generate calibration reports.
  • Perform measurements and compare to specifications; ensure adherence to criteria.
  • Lead or participate in testing and PPAP activities as needed.
  • Provide inspection method improvements and calibration system updates.

Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation — and we have a dynamic future ahead.**Scope of Position**This individual, as part of the Quality and Operations Team, will be responsible for completing incoming inspection and in-process inspection of parts/components for the Quality Assurance Department ensuring that products and materials meet company standards. Also providing technical assistance to support daily operations, projects, measurement methods and performance testing, and execution of the Quality Business System. This position does not have direct reports. This position reports to Manager, Quality. This role is onsite and is based Export, PA. Shift is either 6:30 am- 3pm or 8:30am-5pm.**Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities*** Coordinate and perform incoming inspections and in-process monitoring activities for parts/components.* Update and maintain all required incoming documentation and inspection logs.* Measuring: Comparing objects to their intended physical specifications.* Make decisions using detailed acceptance criteria and product specifications regarding quality of the parts/components.* Complete gage calibrations and provide detailed calibration documents/reports.* Assist with continuous improvement functions.* Develop and improve inspection methods.* Develop and improve gage calibration system.* Develop and upgrade departmental procedures (Quality Business System).* Participate in the Quick Kaizen program to meet Continuous Improvement goals.* Provide support for projects that will support manufacturing, engineering and quality efforts.* Perform inspections and testing for special projects.* Perform additional inspections, testing, and detailed data collection for PPAP’s.* Provide detailed documentation of all worked performed.* Lead and participate in required testing to support manufacturing and new product development.* Provide training and coaching on inspection and calibration methods.* Coordinate and perform evaluations on returned products (Returned Material Authorization).* Update and make entries into the RMA database.* Coordinate RMA activities with Receiving, Customer Service, and Accounting.* Participate and provide input to the Material Review Board. Communication: Collaborating with Production, Materials, CustomerService teams to communicate issues and requirements andinspection results. Assume responsibility for other projects andduties as assigned by Company management. **Required Qualifications*** High School Diploma* 1+ years of experience performing quality inspections/Manufacturing* Understanding inspection techniques and ability to use inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, CMM, microscope, height gages, etc.)* Ability to read and interpret part/assembly drawings* Computer proficiency on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer)* Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills are required* Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.* Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.**Preferred Qualifications*** A.S.
