Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support advanced aerospace and space programs involving complex electronic systems. This role will be a senior quality resource across engineering, production, and program teams, taking ownership of quality issues from investigation through resolution.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years of aerospace quality experience and hands-on expertise with AS9100/AS9102, FAI, root-cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, and SPC, plus the ability to translate

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or DoD.
• Hands-on engineer with ownership of quality issues from investigation to resolution.
• Experience with AS9100 and AS9102.
• Experience with FAI, root-cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, and SPC.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications into quality requirements.
• Experience partnering with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Comfortable leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability.
• Background in space systems, lasers, RF, sensors, or directed-energy tech.
• Familiarity with MRB, APQP, Six Sigma/Lean, or supplier quality.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or GD&T.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers or acting as senior quality/program lead.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior quality resource across engineering, production, and program teams.
• Own quality activities across the full lifecycle of a product or program.
• Investigate, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and programs to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/AS9102 and quality systems.
• Support MRB decisions and supplier quality processes.
