Job summary

General Motors in the United States is seeking a senior quality engineer to validate and maintain large-scale camera viewing and vehicle integration systems. You will partner with software, hardware, calibration, and lab teams to define end-to-end validation across bench and vehicle environments.

You’ll own test planning, automation, and release-readiness, lead defect triage, and drive improvements in reliability and performance while navigating evolving requirements and ensuring on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, Software Eng, or related field.
• 5+ years in Software Test/Integration roles.
• Hands-on testing on development vehicles and hardware/software test benches.
• Experience owning system-level test planning, execution, defect triage, and release readiness.
• Scripting for automation and at least one test framework such as Autobot.
• Experience building automated regression tests and integrating with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Troubleshoot across hardware, embedded software, vehicle signals, calibration, and test infrastructure.
• Knowledge of CAN, OBD-II, LIN, Ethernet protocols.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira/Xray, test traceability, and defect reporting.
• Ability to distinguish product defects from configuration or bench issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for viewing software features.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and system testing on bench and vehicle environments.
• Debug and troubleshoot system-level failures across vehicle and bench environments.
• Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and improve scalability.
