Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago seeks a Lead Quality Engineer to elevate our automation-first testing approach. You will design scalable test frameworks, drive built-in quality across agile teams, and mentor SDETs while partnering with product, security, and operations to ensure robust releases.

You’ll advance performance, API, and end-to-end testing within CI/CD, automate test data, and implement secure pipeline controls, contributing to a mature QA program across Summit environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, computer engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in quality engineering, SDET, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years mentoring or supervising QA engineers/SDETs.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering strategy across teams and test management in Azure DevOps or similar.
• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale automated test frameworks for API/web/ERP/mobile/salesforce/SaaS.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and drive QA process improvements across the SDLC.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and risk stakeholders to ensure release quality.
• Embed automated quality checks and gates into CI/CD pipelines.
