L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a Sr Specialist Quality Engineer to join the Operations Quality team. You will support manufacturing and test operations, drive zero-defect initiatives, and help meet quality, schedule, and cost goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience (or a Graduate Degree with 4+ years; or 10+ years without a degree) and expertise in RCCA, PFMEAs, and AS9100/ISO 9001. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of experience (or graduate degree with 4+ years).
In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of related experience.
Experience with RCCA, control charts, PFMEAs and quality planning.
Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities and lead zero-defect projects to cut cost of poor quality.
Collaborate with inspection and manufacturing to ensure clear requirements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using trend analysis and RCCA.
Develop and maintain control plans for areas of responsibility.
Validate first article inspection execution and documentation.
Communicate acceptance testing issues with test, manufacturing, and engineering.
Mentor engineers within the Quality organization.
Complete risk assessments and validation plans for changes.
Support off-shift and weekend coverage as needed.
